Immigration Law
Clear, Strategic Counsel for Your Canadian Immigration Goals
Canadian immigration law and policy are defined by frequent legislative changes, stringent document thresholds, and zero tolerance for technical omissions. A single incomplete form or improperly documented financial file can trigger an application refusal, years of delay, or an allegation of misrepresentation. Dima Alkrzoun Barrister & Solicitor provides strategic, compliant representation to help you, your family, or your company achieve valid legal status in Canada.
We analyze individual profiles against current Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) standards to formulate data-driven immigration strategies.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
While self-filing is permitted, an immigration lawyer analyzes how IRCC guidelines and immigration case law apply to your profile. We spot hidden issues—such as minor criminal records, employment description discrepancies, or gaps in personal history—that can trigger refusals or procedural fairness challenges.
An Inland sponsorship is processed while the foreign spouse lives inside Canada with legal temporary status, often allowing the spouse to obtain an open work permit while waiting. An Outland sponsorship is processed through a visa office abroad, which allows the applicant to reside outside Canada and provides full rights of appeal to the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) if the application is refused.
Under Section 40 of the IRPA, misrepresentation includes submitting false documentation, withholding relevant material facts (such as a previous visa refusal from another country), or making inaccurate claims on an application. Misrepresentation carries a severe five-year ban from entering or applying to Canada.
Once an Invitation to Apply (ITA) is issued, you have 60 days to upload a fully documented application. IRCC aims to process the majority of complete Express Entry electronic applications within six months.
